RITS Children's DAy 2022 - RULES

GENERAL RULES FOR ALL EVENTS 

  1. Participants can participate maximum of 2 event day
    (12th Feb ’22) performances. In addition, you can participate in any number of Competitions (5th Feb ’22) which are open to all. 
  2. Registration is required to participate in all the events.
  3. Registration is based on first come first service basis only. 
  4. All performances should be in TAMIL. 
  5. No criticism of any language, race, caste or religion, politics and no abusive language..
  6. Competition: Trophy will be awarded for Winners and Participation Certificate will be provided for all participants.
  7. Event day Performances: Trophy will be awarded for all who performing on the event day (1 trophy per person irrespective of number of Performances).
  8. All Registration closes by February 1st, 2022.
  9. Video(s) must be submitted between February 3rd-February 6th, 2022.

RULES FOR DANCE EVENT

  1. Age Limit: Kids and Adults
  2. 1 or 2 participants can perform for a duration of time (max. 2) minutes.
  3. More than 2 participants can perform for a duration of time (min. 2 - max. 4) minutes.
  4. Classical performance given an exception. 2 or more participants can perform for a duration of time (min. 4 - max. 6) minutes.
  5. One Choreographer can give a maximum of two entries (1 in Kids category and 1 in Adult category)

RULES FOR DRAMA EVENT

  1. Age Limit: Kids and Adults
  2. Total duration of the drama should NOT exceed 7 minutes.
  3. Minimum of 4 and more characters are recommended.
  4. If same person acting all the 4 characters, then total duration will be limited to 4 minutes.

RAMP WALK DRESS

  1. Age Limit: upto 8 years.
  2. 1 or 2 participants can perform for a duration of Max. 60 seconds.
  3. Participants can wear any dress without any restrictions.
  4. Participants can tell a Story, Sing, Dance, Talk etc., to make the Fancy Dress more interesting.

KIDS INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC & VOCAL

General Instructions:

  1. Age Limit: 8-18 years.
  2. All editing and video submission is Parent's responsibility

Music Instrumentals:

  1. Should be based on TAMIL songs only.
  2. 1 or 2 participants can perform for the duration of (min 1 - max 2) mins.
  3. More than 2 participants can perform for the duration of (min 2 - max 4) mins.

Vocals:

  1. Should be based on TAMIL songs only, can sign both classical and non-classical light music.
  2. 1 or 2 participants can perform for the duration of (min 1 - max 2) mins.
  3. More than 2 participants can perform for the duration of (min 2 - max 4) mins.

DRAWING COMPETITION

Drawing Categories:

  1. Level 1: Age(5-7)
  2. Level 2: Age(8-10)
  3. Level 3: Age(11-14)

RULES:

  1. Drawing paper size 9”x12” or 11”x14” is advised.
  2. Participants should be ready with required materials (pencils, coloring materials, paper eraser etc) at the time of event.
  3. Participants name & email ID should be present only at the bottom right corner of the paper.
  4. Drawing topics will be given during the previous week of the competition.
  5. Artwork should illustrate the given topic clearly.
  6. Judgement will be based on overall presentation, theme and color combinations.
  7. Judge’s decision is final.

COLORING COMPETITION

Drawing Categories:

  1. Level 1: Age(5-7)
  2. Level 2: Age(8-10)
  3. Level 3: Age(11-14)

CHESS COMPETITION

Rangoli:
1. Age Limit: 15 and above.

RULES:

  1. Paper size 11”x14” is advised.
  2. Participants should be ready with required materials (pencils, coloring materials, paper eraser etc) at the time of event.
  3. Participants name & email ID should be present only at the bottom right corner of the paper.
  4. Rangoli topics will be given during the previous week of the competition.
  5. Rangoli work should illustrate the given topic clearly.
  6. Judgement will be based on overall presentation and color combinations.
  7. Judge’s decision is final.

CARROM COMPETITION

CATEGORIES:

  1. Kids 5-7 years
  2. Kids 8-10 years
  3. Kids 11-13 years
  4. Kids 14-17 years
  5. Adults 18 and Above beginner ( if player is expert based on their play, then disqualified for next level. Judge will make a call)
  6. Adults 18 and above ( Moderate or expert)

RULES:

  1. This competition is open to all.
  2. Can bring own carrom, but Judge will decide on the venue whether to use it or not.
  3. Board size will differ based on age category.
  4. Team will be divided into two groups and elimination will happen based on points (Number of game winning instead of points).
  5. Final two players wins the trophy ( winner and loser).

TALENT SHOW COMPETITION

KAVITHAI : Written competition

RULES:

  1. Poem should be in TAMIL. 2. Level 1: Age(12-16)
  2. Poem should not exceed 30 lines 3. Level 2: Age(17 & above)
  3. Poem should not exceed 2 pages (9”x12” paper)
  4. Poem should not include criticism of any language, race, caste, religion, politics, country, person & any abusive language.
  5. There should not be any grammatical, spelling and punctuation errors.
  6. Copying, with or without modification, someone else's work is strictly not allowed.
  7. Submission of material that is wholly or substantially identical to that created or published by another person or persons is strictly not allowed.
  8. Judge’s decision is final.

MEHENDI COMPETITION

CATEGORIES:

  1. Kids 12-16 years
  2. 16-99 years
    This category will be separated into kids, ladies and gents based on number of entries received.

RULES:

  1. This competition is open to kids, ladies and gents.
  2. Please bring your own marudhani cones, tissues and other materials that you require.
  3. You are responsible for bringing along one person on whose hands you are going to do your mehendi design.
  4. Time given will be 1 hour.
  5. Theme:
    (12-16 years) Happiness and love
    (Above 16 years) Our children our future
  6. Judges decision is final
